subject: lunch - best practice
why? Ok- so I don't have a photo BUT I want to tell you about my before and after today.
Before today- I make my sons lunch for school in the morning. I think it takes me like an hour to do it because I am making coffee, making his breakfast, making his lunch. Trying to throw on some clothes for me. Throwing clothes on him. Preparing any thing I need to pull together for photoshoots or work that I will do after I dorp him off, etc. And then I am late taking him to MDO (that's mother's day out).
Tomorrow he starts his FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL. It is a small school and they only have PreK3 and PreK4 to prepare little ones for school. So it is the big boy school before the big boy school. He no longer takes naps at school, no longer as a spare change of clothes for accidents, switches classes to go to the lunch room. Etc.... It's a big deal.
So on to my after..... second night in a row, I am making his lunch tonight ahead of time. This is a best practice. It requires more planning than I am used to. I like to wing it, go to bed now, get up and do it later. etc. so this is appart of my best practice that I am implementing. I am doing things that seem foreign and uncomfortable to my natural tendancy. Who enlighted me with this idea to make his lunch the night before? My husband! He tells me- it is easy to get him to MDO or school on time when you are not around. He says he gets there early and he makes lunch the night before.
So here is to implementing a new best practice. That makes two in one week. It has been 5 days now that my book shelf and round table in previous post have remained uncluttered and I have not used them as a catch all. My dining room table on the other hand........
