day 176: rain day
subject: fun in the rain
why? My son was supposed to go to gymnastics class today, unfortunately he was super cranky. I really wanted him to go to gymnastics because I was quite frankly tired of the whining and the crying at the drop of a hat. But as a mom, I decided it just was too much for him and he really needed to stay home. He didn't want to go either. Sometimes he gets this way, where he is inconsolable and bored and goes from getting into one thing to the next thing. For example, he spilled cereal on the floor, I got out the vacuum but he wanted the big vacuum, and then he opened the canister of the big vacuum and so dust got every where, so I find myself just following him around cleaning up the messes. (I actually forgot all this happened today) When I had it, I told him, go get on your boots - we are going outside. He told me to get my boots on, and then I grabbed two umbrella's and out we went. The before, he is just getting started... trying to figure out how to open the umbrella. The After: he found a way to play with both umbrella's. I just really liked both of these photos. I liked how there was motion surrounding him in the first photo. In the second photo I stopped up to get a brighter background. I liked how it turned out with the hazy bright silhouette. The haziness is really a product of all the moisture in the air.
All -in- all it ended up being a fun day and he had fun too! And I honestly had forgotten about all the crankiness till I had to write this down.
