day 344: Baskin Robbins 31 flavors

subject: rainbow sherbert
why? Our neighborhood was asking for an ice cream store.  Well, I wanted an ice cream store. And the other day a Baskin Robbins 31 flavors just popped up right down the street. It is so exciting and yet, I can't believe there was no grand opening, I can't believe all the moms in the neighborhood weren't shouting this news. Well, I am going to shout it out now.

before: behind the case

before: eye on the prize and licking his lips just waiting

before: the cone of sherbert

after: it is going and going

after: it is gone, but left all over his mouth. He was laughing because he was trying to rub his mouth all over my camera lens

day 174: withdrawal

day 174: withdrawal
subject: food I want to eat right now
why? In a few weeks I am going to Hawaii. In preparation for the trip and getting ready to wear my suit. I am taking a stand against some evening treats I would really like to eat- right now! The before is the glorious food. The after: is just a dream of what it would be like to taste that savory chocolate ice cream. I am going through withdrawal. And these foods are fading away from me - for at least a few weeks. It is so hard....

day 56: what I really want

day 56: what I really want
subject: frozen treat choices
why? I just wanted to share with you in the before picture, what I really and truly want to eat. However, the after picture is what I ended up eating for the sake of my waist line. Sometimes it is all about choices.
Might I add a little history about Graeter's.  While in college up in Ohio, if one of our friends had a car, we would head to Graeter's Ice cream. The lines were always out the door. And we would wait. We had to because who knew when I would find another friend with a car willing to drive to Graeter's. I love Graeter's, they have the most amazing chocolate chunks in their ice cream and have not had it in years. Low and behold in Kroger's earlier this year- I saw it in the freezer case. I bought several flavors. All of them contained the chocolate chip chunks. The chunks are so good! They are big and chewy! Anyway I told a friend about Graeter's and now she is hooked but she likes a non-chocolate chip flavor. She raves about it. I am sure it is as fabulous as she says, but I just can't pull myself away from the chocolate chunks. Thank you Kroger's for being headquartered in Ohio so that you bring  me in Texas real ice cream. None of this blue bell stuff!!!
