day 340: a little red hair never hurt

why? Well, while I was cleaning out the cabinet from yesterday, my son was painting. Look at his painting? I love it and I was so impressed. He made an alien monster he said. With two eyes,  nose and jagged teeth. He said this monster didn't have eyebrows. Before, the paint is on the art, the after, the paint was in his hair. But that is only because he ran through the house with the paint brush and he feel.

day 331: climbing

subject: cash climbing a series
why? This is more like a series but it was so fun watching him climb and struggle and laugh and be determined. I love how he finally reached his goal. Before was a series effort and after was reaching the summit. Maybe we will go to the rock climbing gym.

before: he is kind of giggly but definitely ready to climb

during: now he is getting giggly and laughing so hard he can barely concentrate and hold on to pull himself up

during: now he is seriously getting down to business, no more laughing here

 

after:  he made it to the top and is ready to start smiling again

after: his final destination the submit and jumping

subject: sprinkles
why? When your son pulls a jar of sprinkles out of the cupboard and asks if he can have some, run... don't walk across the kitchen to grab them from him. If you don't they will be all over the floor faster than you can say "noooooooooooooooo!!!!!"  The before: there he is asking if I am mad. No honey- I am not mad I am just going to take this opportunity to take a picture. The after- I told him he had to clean it up with the vacuum. Thankfully he loves to vacuum and has his own dedicated vacuum.

day 154: 101

day 154: 101
subject: grandma Young is now 101
why? My grandma is now 101. She just had her birthday. Last year we had a big blow out. This year she just ate Chinese. We should have had the big blow out this year. I think it is rare to know someone who is 101 years old. Still has here teeth, still wears shoes and panty hose daily, still climbs the stairs to get to her bed room, still has at least 1 hour of prayer and devotions with the Lord and praying for her loved ones, daily. Still styles her hair and puts a bow in the back. She will whoop you at at game of Rummy- challenge her- I dare you. She will beat you. She had her first pedicure at 95 years old. Who says you are too old to try new things. It is no coincidence that her name is YOUNG.  This before picture was when she flew- yes flew last February to for a visit. I thought these pictures were cute- first Cash is checking her out and then she is checking Cash out. The after photo is the most recent photo I took of her- which happened to be at her 100th birthday party. Isn't she beautiful?!! I will probably get back later this year to capture her at 101!
