why? This is the BEFORE: I saw this recipe for Chipotle Crusted Pork Tenderloin from Allrecipes.com

I thought to myself, I am going to make that. I think my husband will like it and it looks good to me. Lately, I have been overloaded a bit and I went to the grocery store, but forgot the recipe. I had to think fast, what could I make in less than a half hours time that would be ready for my husband?

I even cut out my box top for education.... |
Yes- this is what I made in lieu of the Pork Tenderloin. Nice, eh? So we are eatting our Three Cheese Hamburger Helper and my husband says, "Best meal you ever made!" I thought - REALLY? the best meal? I was insulted! Imagine, hamburger helper is better than anything I could make from scratch.
This reponse leaves me confused. I used to really like to cook, but it is hard to cook for someone who is so easily pleased by "prepared" meals. And who, on the contrary basically likes very few things. He has his favorites and doesn't deviate. It is very frustrating for me. Surely, making dinner can't be that easy.
But then I thought, praise the Lord! I married someone who isn't bothered that I didn't have time to whip together this really great pork tenderloin meal, rather is content eating boxed dinners if he has to. And later he clarified that he was just so hungry, the hamburger helper hit the spot and tasted so good!! So it wasn't a crack on my cooking after all.
By the way- I never before in my life made nor tasted hamburger helper until I married my husband.
