why? My neighbors orchid bloomed and she called me over because she had a problem. She kept taking photos with her point and shoot in which she felt it didn't truly reflect the true color of the orchid. I looked at her camera and tried to see if I could make it work, I wondered if maybe the display on her camera verses the display on a computer screen made a diffence. But she wasn't satisfied. Finally, I had to go get my camera to see what happened when I took the picture.
By the way, this was the biggest Orchid I think I have seen. It was easily the size of my hand. I should have tried to show you better scale.
These are SOOC.
Before, the first photo I took, she still said- no the color does not look right. It was under incandescent lighting. I used a flash. The After photo. I told her we just needed to go outside. We held the photo up to the Orchid and yes this was the true color. As real as you can get. it was definitely more purple fuschia than magenta pink. The point of this post, natural light truly is just so great. And certainly my preference for taking pictures.

Though you can't see the center of the flower this gives you an idea of the color. |
