day 171: what to do with basil
subject: pesto and dressing
why: Yesterday I showed you my blanched basil (the BEFORE) and today I am going to show you what I did with my basil after I prepared it. These are the AFTER products:
IMAGE #1: I made pesto. Yummy fresh pesto which you could use in salads or on pasta but I put mine inside IMAGE #2: stuffed chicken breasts
I also reserved some more basil for a IMAGE #3 homemade basil vinegarette. It is delicious and I poured it on my apple, craisin, candied pecans (day 169: pecans) salad IMAGE #4. It is so yummy!!!!
