subject: my hair
why? when I had long hair I would sometimes get it straighted after a hair cut since they never really styled the curls to my taste. Well last week I had my hair trimmed and though - I wonder what my hair would look like straightened while it is short. Bless Tracie- my hair stylists heart who after having shoulder surgery- agreed to do it! It took her quite a bit of time because I have a lot of hair. Well - I have to admit- It felt a little weird. I didn't feel like I looked like myself and it seemed like I looked like everyone else who straightens their hair.
When I picked up my son from school. He would not come to me- he took me in a full 30 seconds before he concluded it was really me and came running. He asked what I did to my hair and said he liked it better curly.
When I got home I walked in and Samson started barking at me. I told him, it was ok it was me, he wagged his tail, gave me kisses, all was good! I walked outside got something from the car, came back in and Samson growled at me. The deep and low belly growl to say stranger- stay back..... Repeat scenario above and all was good!
My husband came home rounded the corner and saw me and said what the heck did you do to your hair!!! Change it back!!! I said, like now? He said yeah! He wondered, will it even go back? I said of course- all I have to do it get it wet. He was so relieved.
Moral of the story, the three boys (husband, son, dog) in my life, like me just the way I am.
