day 28: trigger happy
subject: rose chair
why? sometime when I excitedly take pictures I have my finger ready on the trigger to snap the picture and oops, I have taken a photo before I was ready. As in this before photo, I took the picture before I was ready and the result: boring. The chair is the main subject, totally centered and you can see the bags in the background. There is also the slight tension caused by the top of the chair being cut off. There is no place for your eye to go except dead center.
However, in the after photo, though it is off center, the chair is still the main subject. The bags are no longer distracting. The elliptical shape of the round table on the left points towards the chair and curls back around. Leading your eye from the left into the photo and back out again. As your eye scans the photo it will pick up the repeat of the elliptical shapes. Both on the chair seat and on the table.
I would definitely say the AFTER photo is more interesting. What do you think?
And I love that chair!
